CSM Ploiești’s Competition Schedule for This Week

This week, Clubul Sportiv Municipal Ploiești (Ploiești Municipal Sports Club) and its partners are involved in a wide range of competitions and activities dedicated to the Ploiești community.

Basketball

The senior, Liga I and junior teams are taking part in matches in the national championships. CSM BBA Petrolul Ploiești competes both at senior level and in the U20 and U14 competitions, as follows:

Wednesday, 3 December this year, U20 Juniors, National Group, Round 3, CSŞ Viitorul Universitatea Cluj-Napoca – CSM CSŞ BBA Petrolul Ploiești; 

Friday – Saturday, 5-6 December this year, U14 Juniors, Phase II, Group I, Tournament 2, Blejoi CSM BBA Petrolul Ploiești – ACS CS Heart Drobeta Turnu Severin, ABC Hoops Braşov – CSM BBA Petrolul Ploiești;

Saturday, 6 December this year, National League, Round 11, FC Argeș Pitești – CSM BBA Petrolul Ploiești; 

Sunday, 7 December this year, Liga I, Phase I, Group D, Round 10, CSM BBA Petrolul 2 Ploiești – CSM Corona 2 Brașov. 

Handball

The week brings an intense schedule for the junior teams (boys and girls) of CSM Ploiești, with matches in series B, C, D and F, both at home and away, as follows:

Football

The U15 junior teams and the team in League 5 take to the field in matches considered important for the final stretch of the first half of the championship:

Volleyball

CSM Ploiești takes part in the U15 tournaments at Slatina and the “Doroftei” Hall, alongside teams such as Rapid București, CSM Corona Brașov or local teams from Slatina and Bucharest:

Friday – Saturday, 5-6 December this year, U15 Junior Girls, Series T, Tournament 3, Slatina CSM Ploiești, CSŞ Slatina, ACS Super Sport Slatina, ACS Galaxia Volei București; 

Friday – Sunday, 5-7 December this year, U15 Junior Boys, Series B, Tournament 3, “Doroftei” Hall CSM Ploiești, Rapid București, CSM Corona Brașov, CSM Constanța.

Speed skating

The club is represented at prestigious international competitions:

Eduard Nițu is taking part in the Senior World Cup in Heerenveen (Netherlands).

Alexandru Mereuță is competing in the Junior and Neo-Senior World Cup in Collalbo (Italy).

Saturday – Sunday, 6-7 December this year, Senior World Cup, Heerenveen (Netherlands). CSM Ploiești will be represented by athlete Eduard Nițu.

Weekly sports programme dedicated to seniors:

Wednesday, 3 December, between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m., at the “Olimpia” Sports Hall, the free programme “Movement, Smiles and Energy for Ploiești’s Seniors” continues, an initiative dedicated to people aged 60+.

We remind you that the Ploiești Municipality, in partnership with the “Ion Luca Caragiale” House of Culture, the Ploiești Municipal Sports Club and the “Întoarce-te la Sport” Association, is launching, for the first time, a permanent and free programme dedicated to the elderly, designed to bring movement, joy and socialisation into the lives of Ploiești’s seniors.

Ploiești Hippodrome

 Sunday, 7 December this year, starting at 10:00 a.m., the horse racing meeting – Mircea Ștefănescu Prize will take place, featuring trotting races.

During this event, the organisers have prepared surprises for the children, on the occasion of the celebration of St. Nicholas’s Day.
