Ploiești City Hall informs citizens that, for the proper conduct of the ceremony marking the “NATIONAL DAY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA”, on 2 March 2026, road traffic on Independenței Boulevard will be closed, from the Radu Stanian statue up to the Hunters’ Monument area (South Railway Station), including the roundabout.
Thus, between 10:40 AM and 12:00 PM, traffic will no longer flow on Independenței Boulevard, and detours will be used as follows: along Bobâlna Street, in the southbound direction (where the Pelican and Liceul de Artă stops will operate), and along Democrației Street, in the direction from south towards the centre (where the 13 Decembrie, Covurlui and Muzeul de Istorie stops will operate).
- Route 2 will operate the stop in front of the South Railway Station, and at the exit from Prahova Value Centre will turn right onto Democrației Street. The Coreco Sud stop can no longer be used; for travel towards the centre/west, passengers will use the Gara Sud stop (in front of the station).
- Route 30, in the direction towards the centre, the buses will no longer enter the South Railway Station; after the Rulmenți Grei stop, the next stop will be 13 Decembrie / Democrației.
- Route 32 will have its terminus at Prahova Value Centre instead of Gara Sud.
- Route 401, in the direction towards the centre, the buses will no longer enter the South Railway Station; after the Pleiades stop, the next stop will be 13 Decembrie / Democrației.
Likewise, in the direction towards Hipodrom, buses will no longer enter the South Railway Station, but will go directly from Democrației Street into Prahova Value Centre, with Rulmenți Grei as the next stop.
- Routes 444 and 445 will have their terminus at Bariera București. Route 444b, from the Rulmenți Grei stop, will enter Prahova Value Centre, up to the inner roundabout of the parking, where it turns and returns under the bridge into Piața 1 Decembrie 1918, then continues onto Depoului Street, from where it follows the known route.
- The trolleybus routes 44 and 202 will be shortened to Hale Coreco; the connection between the Centre and the South Railway Station will be made by the other bus routes with a common course, between Galeriile Comerciale and Gara de Sud, respectively between Gara de Sud and Hale Coreco.
We mention that tickets validated on trolleybuses will also be valid on the buses running between the Centre and Gara Sud, during the period of route shortening for trolleybus lines 44 and 202.
Likewise, tickets used on the bus on the Gara Sud – Centre route remain valid on trolleybuses running towards Malu Roșu and Podul Înalt respectively. Depending on the directions of the Traffic Police, both the time interval and the detour routes specified above may be modified, in line with identified needs.
