Ploiești City Hall and the Ploiești Garrison organised commemorations on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria, today, starting at 11:00, at the Hunters’ Monument near the South Railway Station.

The National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria is celebrated annually on 3 March and is known as the Day of the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule.

The event in Ploiești was attended by a delegation led by His Excellency Mr Vlaykov Radko, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to our country. In addition, besides the Romanian military, the ceremony was also attended by a group of Bulgarian military personnel from the Multinational Division South-East.

On this occasion, after the Bulgarian officials were received, the national anthems of the two countries were played. At the same time, those present took part in a religious service.

 The Romanian and Bulgarian officials gave speeches in the context of this event, and at the end of the ceremony they laid wreaths and flower arrangements at the Hunters’ Monument.
