Between 11.04.2026 and 12.04.2026, in the time slot 23:30 – 0:30, in the context of the Easter Vigil Service at the “Sf. Ioan Botezătorul” (St. John the Baptist) Cathedral, road traffic will be interrupted in the cathedral area, between Eroilor Square and General Vasile Milea Street.
In this context, public transport will undergo the following changes:
Trolleybuses on routes 44 and 202 will be replaced by buses during this time slot and will follow the route below:
- Towards the South Railway Station (Gara de Sud) :
– route 202: normal route as far as I. L. Caragiale Street, then proceeds along Tache Ionescu Street, right at Victoriei Square, and continues on the normal route. The Galeriile Comerciale stop is not served.
– route 44: normal route as far as Malu Roșu Street, then right onto Pod Înalt Street, left onto Gh. Grigore Cantacuzino Street, I. L. Caragiale Street, Tache Ionescu Street, right at Victoriei Square, and continues on the normal route. The Traian, Școala nr. 4, and Galeriile Comerciale stops are not served.
- Towards Malu Roșu / Pod Înalt: the route is unchanged.
– Route 30 will follow a diversion only in the direction of Hipodrom, as follows: normal route up to the roundabout at Mihai Viteazul Square, then enters Gh. Doja, Văleni, and Emile Zola streets, right towards Vasile Milea Street, Republicii Boulevard, and continues on the usual route.
The Mihai Viteazul Square stop on Republicii Boulevard is not served, but the Mihai Viteazul Square stop on Gh. Doja Street is.
Depending on the orders of the Traffic Police (Poliția Rutieră), the time slot and the diversion routes may be subject to change.
