The chief mayor of the Municipality of Ploiești, Mr Mihai Polițeanu, met today with the athletes of the Athletics Section of the Municipal Sports Club (CSM) Ploiești, with the desire to reaffirm support for performance sport and to have an open dialogue on supporting programmes dedicated to Ploiești sport.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Ploiești, Mrs Zoia Staicu, the director of CSM Ploiești, Mr Lucian Rădulescu, as well as the coaches of the Athletics Section of CSM Ploiești: Prof. Augustin Iancu, Prof. Robert Munteanu, Prof. Maria Sârbu and Prof. Gabriel Hurmuz.
The athletes and the technical staff presented the main achievements of 2025 and of this competitive year, as well as the objectives for the coming period. At the same time, aspects related to training conditions, participation in competitions and the development projects of the athletics section were discussed.
On this occasion, the municipal executive congratulated the performance athletes of CSM Ploiești for the outstanding results achieved in national and international competitions, appreciating the work, discipline and determination they demonstrate:

Congratulations were also addressed to the coaches and the entire technical team for their constant involvement in training and developing young Ploiești athletes.
