CACTUS FLOWER – Friday, 27 February, 6:30 PM, “Toma Caragiu” Theatre hall

Julien Desforges, a successful dentist, has a relationship with the young Antonia, before whom he pretends to be married with three children, in order to avoid any commitments. When Antonia, hurt by his indifference, reaches a moment of despair, Julien suddenly proposes marriage to her.

To make sure she does not break up a family, Antonia asks to meet his supposed wife, and Julien, caught in the trap of his own inventions, convinces his assistant Stéphanie to play that role – which sets off a series of comic and unexpected situations. Confusions, appearances and hidden feelings transform the story into a charming comedy about love, truth, and the courage to be sincere. This performance is Sold Out.

THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO – Saturday, 28 February, and Sunday, 1 March, 6:30 PM, “Toma Caragiu” Theatre hall

Falsely accused of complicity with Napoleon Bonaparte, the young sailor Edmond Dantès falls victim to a plot by people close to him, woven from envy and petty ambition, and is sent to a prison on an isolated island, where hope seems to fade with each passing day.

Following a spectacular escape and the discovery of a fabulous treasure, Dantès is reborn under a new identity: the enigmatic and influential Count of Monte Cristo. Now endowed with power, wealth and an intelligence sharpened by the experiences of the past, he steps decisively onto the path of meticulously orchestrated revenge.

Driven by the desire to do justice and to regain his lost dignity, he relentlessly pursues his former betrayers, those who took from him his freedom, his love and his future alongside the beautiful Mercedes. Thus, his story, transposed into a grand musical, becomes an epic of suffering and rebirth, of love lost and justice regained, a destiny shaped by will, intelligence and passion. These performances are Sold Out.
