Between 3-5 April, the pedestrian alley in front of the „Toma Caragiu” Theatre Ploiești will once again be transformed into a universe in which stories, emotion, creativity, music, dance, and good cheer will harmoniously blend, during the fifth edition of the Palm Sunday Street Art Fair, an annual event organised by the „Toma Caragiu” Theatre Ploiești, in partnership with the „Ion Luca Caragiale” Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Ploiești, with the support of the Ploiești City Hall.

Throughout the three days, the special vibration of art will be the bond between generations, between customs and traditions specific to this period, and contemporary visions, techniques, and approaches, in an open-air cultural event that has already become a reference point for the community.

The event programme will include children’s theatre performances, ventriloquism shows, folk music recitals, folk song and dance performances, as well as a series of varied creative workshops or workshops exploring aspects of the art of animation, during which young participants will learn techniques for handling marionettes.

The Easter Egg Hunt will not be missing either, one of the most anticipated moments of the fair, organised in the courtyard of the Prahova County Museum of History and Archaeology. The little ones will have the opportunity to take part in a unique interactive adventure, peppered with playful challenges, alongside heroes from the world of fairy tales.

Also, throughout the duration of the event, exhibitions of puppets and costumes from beloved performances of the Imaginario Animation Theatre section will be on display, and characters from the magical universe of stories will come to life and accompany the little ones, animating the pedestrian alley with unique street animation moments. The festive atmosphere will be complemented by the spectacular movements and fascinating costumes of stilt-walking artists, who will delight the public with their talent and bring an extra touch of charm to the event.

We invite you to join us, on the weekend dedicated to the Palm Sunday Holiday, so that together we can bring colour and joy to the city centre, contributing to the promotion of artistic dialogue with the community and to the enrichment of the urban space through art!
