National Reading Day, marked in Ploiești by the „Ion Luca Caragiale” House of Culture!

The „Ion Luca Caragiale” House of Culture of the Municipality of Ploiești is organising, on 15 February 2026, activities dedicated to the National Reading Day, a cultural event meant to promote reading and the values of Romanian literature.

The project is addressed to participants of any age from the Municipality of Ploiești and aims at affirming and promoting the work of the great classics of Romanian literature, as well as stimulating interest in reading and culture.

On this occasion, participants are invited to dedicate at least 15 minutes to reading on 15 February 2026, and to send an audio-video recording, with a maximum duration of 2 minutes, capturing a fragment of a text from classical Romanian literature.

The materials can be uploaded to the online form made available on the institution’s social media pages – Facebook, Instagram – and on the website (https://casadecultura.ro ), between 15-23 February 2026, until 12:00 PM.

The recordings received will be promoted on the Facebook page of the „Ion Luca Caragiale” House of Culture of the Municipality of Ploiești, thus contributing to the dissemination of the message regarding the importance of reading in our community.

Each participant will receive a participation diploma, as well as publications edited by the „Ion Luca Caragiale” House of Culture of the Municipality of Ploiești, which can be picked up from the institution’s headquarters at 8 Emile Zola Street, 1st floor, starting 16 March 2026.
