From 3 to 5 April, the pedestrian alley in front of the „Toma Caragiu” Theatre in Ploiești was given over to imagination, creativity, magic, and the ever-playful spirit of children, throughout the fifth edition of the Palm Sunday Street Art Fair, a meeting space between artists and the community designed to bring artistic vibrancy to the urban environment and to contribute to the revitalisation and aesthetic development of the city centre.

Organised by the „Toma Caragiu” Theatre in Ploiești, in partnership with the „Ion Luca Caragiale” Cultural Centre, with the support of Ploiești City Hall, this year’s edition of the fair brought together a variety of artistic and recreational activities, intended to celebrate the complexity and expressiveness of art.

Over the three days, the pedestrian alley became an open stage where audiences of all ages could enjoy theatre performances for children, ventriloquism acts, folk music recitals, and the authentic charm of traditional songs and dances. In addition, numerous creative workshops invited participants to explore the artistic universe in an original and interactive manner.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the fair, greeted with enthusiasm by the youngest attendees, was the traditional Easter egg hunt held in the courtyard of the Prahova County Museum of History and Archaeology. At the end of the hunt, all participants were rewarded with sweet surprises, while the most determined little explorers, who found the most eggs, received invitations to performances from the repertoire of the Imaginario Animation Theatre.

The festive atmosphere was rounded off by the presence of stilt-walking performers and beloved storybook characters, who captured the attention of passers-by and added an extra touch of charm and magic to the event.

We would like to thank all those who joined us – artists and audience members alike – whose presence and enthusiasm contributed to the success of the fifth edition of the Palm Sunday Street Art Fair. Our thanks also go to Proleasing Grup, Supermarket La Cocoș, Neo Dermaskin, Ploieștiul în culori, First Dent, and Sky Blue Resort, sponsors whose generosity and involvement made this cultural endeavour possible.
