We open the events of March under the sign of energy and refinement, alongside conductor 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐢, at the helm of the Ploiești Symphony Orchestra, and bassoonist Ionut Mardare, in the role of soloist. On Thursday, 5 March 2026, the two musicians return to the stage of the “Paul Constantinescu” Philharmonic with a superb programme, stylistically diverse, traversing Viennese classicism and reaching the refined lyricism of the 20th century, building an evening full of contrast, colour and expressiveness.

The evening will open with the Overture to the opera „Lucio Silla”, KV 135 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a page full of vitality and clarity characteristic of the classical style, followed by the Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra by Nino Rota, a work that draws on the warm and chameleonic timbre of the instrument, blending melodic elegance with the subtle irony characteristic of the composer. In the second half, Symphony No. 2 in D major, op. 36 by Ludwig van Beethoven will bring to the fore the creative force and optimism of a score that already announces the composer’s stylistic maturity.

A concert is announced that invites the public to a captivating sound experience.
