A company under the authority of the Local Council, responsible for managing the food markets, the Halele Centrale (Central Market Halls), fairs and related commercial spaces, ensuring proper hygiene and trading conditions for producers and consumers.
What it does (main functions)
- Manages food markets, fairs and bazaars;
- Provides cleaning and day-to-day operation of the spaces under its administration;
- Leases commercial spaces in accordance with the regulations;
- Oversees compliance with trade rules within the perimeters under its administration.
Founding act / legal basis
- HCL no. 116/2002 (Local Council Decision) – establishment of S.C. Hale și Piețe Ploiești S.A.;
- HCL no. 85/2008 – delegation by concession of the public service of management and operation of the markets (and subsequent amending acts).
