Ploiești Municipal Sports Club (CSM)

Brief description / mission

A public-law sports body, under the authority of the Local Council, that supports both performance and grassroots sport, manages sports sections and facilities, organises competitions and ensures community access to sport and physical activity.

What it does (main functions)

  • Organises and finances sports sections and competitive activity;
  • Manages the municipality’s sports facilities and halls;
  • Programmes for grassroots sport, beginners and sports events;
  • Partnerships with clubs/schools to develop local sport.

Founding act / legal basis

  • HCL no. 108/31.08.2004 (Local Council Decision) – establishment of CSM Ploiești (under Law no. 69/2000).
