Local Community Public Service for Population Records Ploiești (SPCLEP)
Brief description / mission
Local public service, with legal personality, which manages population records (identity documents) and civil status activity (births, marriages, deaths), based on the national and local legislative framework.
What it does (main functions)
- Receives applications for and issues identity documents (C.I./C.E.I.) and registers annotations;
- Draws up/issues civil status documents and duplicates (birth, marriage, death);
- Transcriptions of certificates/documents from abroad, name changes, administrative divorce;
- Provision of data from the National Population Records Register (R.N.E.P.) as provided by law;
- Online appointments for the main services.
Founding act / legal basis
- HCL no. 30/18.03.2005 (Local Council Decision) – establishment of SPCLEP Ploiești;
- General framework: O.G. (Government Ordinance) no. 84/2001 and H.G. (Government Decision) no. 1375/2006 (organisation and operation)
