Autonomous Authority for Public Services Ploiești (RASP)

Brief description / mission

An autonomous authority subordinated to the Local Council, which organises, monitors and oversees the operation of the municipality’s delegable public services (waste, water and sewerage, public lighting, parking, etc.), coordinates the municipal dispatch centre for citizen reports and operates municipal facilities such as the WEEE Collection Centre.

What it does (main functions)

  • Monitors/oversees concessioned or delegated public services;
  • Coordinates relations with utility operators and tracks performance indicators;
  • Manages projects and investments in the area of public services;
  • 24/7 municipal dispatch centre for reports, plus environmental education campaigns;
  • Municipal collection centre for WEEE, used cooking oil, etc.

Founding act / legal basis

  • HCL no. 114/28.06.2002 (Local Council Decision); HCL no. 43/30.03.2004; HCL no. 161/29.09.2005;
  • HCL no. 302/18.12.2006 – change of name and expansion of the scope of activity.
