The centre offers a safe and stimulating environment for preschool children, preventing family and school abandonment while also supporting vulnerable families.

During the day, children take part in educational activities, games and socialisation, and receive care in a safe environment. Parents or legal representatives also benefit from support and counselling

The following may benefit from this service:

  • preschool children aged between 3 and 6 years, from vulnerable families;
  • children reintegrated into their family after a special protection measure;
  • children benefiting from a special protection measure;
  • children at risk, from large, single-parent or disorganised families with low educational levels;
  • other similar situations, at the request of other institutions with social welfare competence.

What is the applicable legislation?

  • Law no.  292/2011 on social welfare, as subsequently amended and supplemented, 
  • Law no. 272/2004 on the protection and promotion of children’s rights, as well as other secondary regulations applicable to the field,
  • Government Decision no. 867/2015 approving the Nomenclature of Social Services, as well as the framework regulations for the organisation and operation of social services,
  • Order 27/2019 approving the minimum quality standards for day social services for children.

CHILD’S DOCUMENTS:

  • copy of birth certificate;
  • epidemiological clearance for entry into a community setting;
  • vaccination record;
  • medical certificate issued by the family doctor.

PARENTS’ DOCUMENTS:

  • copies of parents’ identity cards;
  • income certificate or, as applicable, pension slip or income declaration;
  • copy of marriage certificate / divorce decree / death certificate – parents;
  • property documents (privately owned home, social housing rental contract, tax payment receipt, etc.);
  • certificate / supporting documents (contract, payment slip) attesting to the social benefits received.

The file is submitted at the headquarters of the Day Centre for Preschool Children.
