COUNSELLING / ASSISTANCE FOR ELDERLY PERSONS
Elderly persons who have reached the legally established retirement age are entitled to social welfare, and the Guardianship Authority of the administrative-territorial unit in which the elderly person has his or her residence has the obligation to:
- provide, at the elderly person’s request, free legal counselling for the purpose of concluding a sale-purchase or donation contract, or for the purpose of establishing movable or immovable guarantees, having as their object the movable or immovable assets of the elderly person;
- provide, at the elderly person’s request or ex officio, as applicable, a representative of the Guardianship Authority for the purpose of concluding any act transferring ownership, having as its object personal assets, for the purpose of his or her maintenance and care, as well as for the purpose of concluding rental / loan-for-use contracts with natural persons for the accommodation of the elderly person.

- the application for free legal counselling for the purpose of concluding a sale-purchase or donation contract, or for the purpose of establishing movable or immovable guarantees, having as their object the movable or immovable assets of the elderly person;
- the application for assistance by a representative of the Guardianship Authority for the purpose of concluding any act transferring ownership, having as its object personal assets, for the purpose of his or her maintenance and care, as well as for the purpose of concluding rental / loan-for-use contracts with natural persons for the accommodation of the elderly person.
