APPLICATION FOR PROVISION / DISTRIBUTION OF MEALS – SOCIAL CANTEEN
The purpose of the “Social Canteen” social service is to ensure the preparation and distribution of meals to the beneficiaries of Law no. 208/1997, the Law on Social Aid Canteens, in compliance with the provisions of Social Assistance Law no. 292/2011, with subsequent amendments and additions, in order for beneficiaries to overcome situations of difficulty, prevent and combat the risk of social exclusion, promote social inclusion, and improve the quality of life.
The social canteen is available to single persons and families who have their domicile or residence in the municipality of Ploiești, in particular economic-social or medical situations, and who fall within the established categories.
Social categories eligible for this aid:
- children up to the age of 18, supported by families whose net average monthly income/person is below the net monthly level for a single person, used to determine social aid (the minimum value of social aid is 142 lei/person);
- young persons attending full-time courses at educational institutions operating in accordance with the law, but not exceeding the age of 25, or 26 in the case of those pursuing higher education studies of more than 5 years, who are in the financial situation referred to in the previous paragraph;
- persons receiving social aid, in accordance with Law no. 416/2001 on the guaranteed minimum income, as amended and supplemented, and persons whose income is up to the level of the net monthly income for a single person, used to determine social aid;
- pensioners;
- persons who have reached retirement age and are in one of the following situations: socially isolated, with no legal supporters, or with no income;
- invalids and chronically ill persons;
- any person who, temporarily, does not earn income, for a period of no more than 90 days per year.
