Issuance of the Electronic Identity Card (CEI)

• book an appointment on the MAI Services portal: https://hub.mai.gov.ro/cei/programari/harta : Prahova – SPCLEP‑Ploiești
• appear on the scheduled day and time with all original documents
• if not the owner, the owner must accompany the applicant

• the citizen appears in person at the Document Intake Counter;
• original documents are scanned;
• the application is completed in the system together with the population records officer;
• fingerprints and image are taken;
• the application is signed on the PAD;
• track the status at: https://hub.mai.gov.ro/cei/programari/verifica-cei.

Printing: CEI cards are printed at the National Printing Office; within 5 working days of the confirmation e-mail, the holder may appear at the SEIP Issuance Counter for collection.

Mandatory presence 14+ years: digital fingerprints (as applicable) and the holographic signature are taken; CEI collection takes place in person, when the two PIN codes are set (4-digit PIN – activation; 6-digit PIN – electronic signature).
