The Ploiești Municipality, in partnership with the Prahova County Council, is organising the “Round Table for Inclusion” event, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, starting at 1:00 p.m., in the Europa Hall of the Administrative Palace in Ploiești, entrance E.
The event is held under the motto “In every disability there is also Ability” and aims to create a framework for open dialogue between institutions, non-governmental organisations and the local community, with a view to identifying concrete solutions for the integration of persons with disabilities into society.
The meeting will open with an artistic awareness-raising moment, in the form of a flash mob, intended to symbolise the unity and solidarity of the Ploiești community.

The “Round Table for Inclusion” will include three thematic discussion panels:
· “Accessibility and its essential role for social inclusion”
Participants will analyse the current state of accessibility in public spaces, transport, institutions and schools. Good practices, implemented projects and solutions for improving access for persons with disabilities at the level of Prahova County will be discussed.
· “Vocational training and labour market integration of persons with disabilities”
The topic will include discussions on the creation of a special school dedicated to the vocational training of young people with disabilities, the development of skills for employment and strategies for labour market integration, including cooperation between public institutions and employers.
· “Legislative initiatives to support persons with severe disabilities”
Examples from other countries will be analysed regarding legislation and support programmes for persons with severe disabilities, who require permanent supervision. The aim is to identify concrete public policy proposals to be implemented in Romania.
These sessions will bring together, in direct, open and applied dialogue, representatives of public authorities, specialists, non-governmental organisations and people actively involved in the field of social inclusion, with the aim of sharing experiences, examples of good practices and public policy proposals.
Institutional participants of the event: Prahova General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection, Prahova County Employment Agency, Prahova County Agency for Payments and Social Inspection, Prahova Prefect’s Institution, Prahova County School Inspectorate and the special schools, the National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as well as Mr. Bogdan Toader, Member of Parliament for Prahova County.
