Ploiești proudly celebrates Romania’s National Day!

Primăria municipiului Ploiești (Ploiești Municipality City Hall) and Garnizoana Ploiești (the Ploiești Garrison) are organising the military ceremonies and events dedicated to Romania’s National Day on Monday, 1 December 2025.

On this occasion, starting at 11:00, in the roundabout in front of the municipality headquarters (Piața Eroilor no. 1A), several festive activities will be held, intended to mark the importance of this national event, with the participation of local officials, members of parliament from Prahova County, military personnel and citizens of our municipality.

The programme dedicated to the celebration of Romania’s National Day will include the salute to the battle flag, the singing of the National Anthem of Romania by the „Paul Constantinescu” Ploiești Philharmonic Choir, as well as the holding of a religious service. 

Representatives of Ploiești Municipality and Prahova County will deliver speeches, and at the end of the event flowers will be laid in memory of the heroes of the country on the steps of „Sfântul Ioan Botezătorul” („Saint John the Baptist”) Cathedral. 

The residents of Ploiești present at the event will then be able to enjoy the traditional Romania’s National Day parade, when the military troops and the brass band of the Prahova County Council will march according to the plan established by Garnizoana Ploiești.

For the smooth running of these festivities, the Comisia Municipală pentru Transport și Siguranța Circulației (Municipal Commission for Transport and Traffic Safety) has established a series of measures regarding the stopping of traffic in the roundabout at Piața Eroilor no. 1 A (in front of „Sf. Ioan Botezătorul” Cathedral) up to the intersection of Republicii Boulevard with Tache Ionescu Street, on 1 December 2025, between 10:00-13:00.

At the same time, please note that on Monday, 1 December 2025, declared a public holiday at national level, regular urban transport in Ploiești Municipality will operate according to the Sunday schedule.
