Mayor Mihai Polițeanu congratulated the women’s football team – U17 juniors of AFC Prahova Ploiești, winners of the national championship

The U17 juniors of AFC Prahova Ploiești were welcomed today at the municipality’s headquarters, in a meeting also attended by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Ploiești, Mrs Zoia Staicu. The event took place in a warm atmosphere, full of emotion and joy. 

The young athletes were congratulated by the Ploiești executive for the remarkable achievements, talent and team spirit they demonstrated in winning the national champions title. They and the team’s coach were awarded certificates of appreciation for the extraordinary result obtained at national level. 

Also, since we are in the period leading up to Christmas, the athletes were given small bags filled with sweets as gifts. 

The Ploiești Municipality City Hall will continue to support performance sports and to encourage young people’s participation in sporting activities!
