The most moving moments for us remain the reunions with artists we have watched grow up on the stage of the „Paul Constantinescu” Philharmonic and who now return as soloists.

On Thursday, 16 April 2026, pianist David Petre returns to the stage of the „Ion Baciu” Hall, alongside the Ploiești Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Ovidiu Bălan, with a programme dedicated entirely to the work of Franz Liszt.

The concert will open with the Symphonic Poem „Les Préludes”, S. 97, an expansive work of overwhelming beauty and fluid construction. The evening will continue with the two concertos for piano and orchestra, works that highlight both the soloist’s virtuosity and the expressiveness of the performance. The alternation between moments of sensitivity and lyricism, masterfully crafted by the composer, and brilliant episodes dominated by energy and force, offers audiences a varied and captivating experience, in which every measure brings a different perspective on Liszt’s musical universe.

We invite you to join us for an evening in which the emotion of reunion intertwines with the joy of music.
