We are launching the modernization of Ploiești’s district heating network!

The Ploiești Municipality has launched the public procurement procedure for the project “Rehabilitation of thermal networks belonging to SACET Ploiești, for increasing energy efficiency in urban heating supply – Stage I”.

The subject of the procurement is the design and execution of works for the rehabilitation of the primary thermal networks.

This project aims at the modernization/rehabilitation of the thermal transport and  distribution network, by reducing losses in the thermal energy transport and distribution systems and, implicitly, increasing energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

The implementation of the project will achieve:

·         Modernization/rehabilitation of the thermal network;

·         Increased security of thermal energy supply, by reducing the number of interruptions;

·         Creation of the infrastructure necessary for the development of new economic activities, as well as the development of the national thermal energy infrastructure at European standards applicable in the field;

·         Increased energy efficiency in centralized thermal energy transport and distribution systems, by optimizing the heating agent distribution/transport networks;

·         Rational use of thermal energy resources, by reducing losses;

·         Minimizing the negative impact on the environment;

·         Reducing maintenance costs of thermal energy distribution networks.

The estimated value of the procurement is 208,389,750.35 lei, VAT included.

The deadline for submitting offers is 20 January 2026.

The Ploiești municipality’s procurement will be carried out through the open tender procedure, and it was initiated by the participation notice no. CN1088284/15.12.2025.
