End of public consultation period for the General Urban Plan (PUG) – stages 2 and 3

Ploiești City Hall informs residents that today is the last day on which observations, complaints, and proposals can be submitted as part of stages 2 and 3 of the General Urban Plan (Planul Urbanistic General – PUG).

Interested residents can in this way express their views and contribute to the sustainable development and planning of our community.

Any observations may be received until today, 22.04.2026, at the headquarters of Ploiești City Hall in Eroilor Square 1A, at the registry of the General Directorate for Urban Development (Direcția Generală de Dezvoltare Urbană), or by e-mail at dir.urbanism@ploiesti.ro .

The replies/results of the consultation will be communicated on 29.04.2026.

We would also like to mention that, on Monday, 20 April 2026, at the headquarters of the Prahova branch of the Order of Architects of Romania (Ordinul Arhitecților din România – OAR) a technical meeting was held to analyse the foundation studies and the preliminary draft of the General Urban Plan of the Municipality of Ploiești, as well as the alignment of this draft with the urban planning documents already approved.

The event was organised by the General Directorate for Urban Development of Ploiești City Hall, and this constructive dialogue brought together architects, members of the OAR and of the Union of Architects of Romania (Uniunea Arhitecților din România – UAR), as well as professionals in practice, with a sound knowledge of the city and its urban evolution, who are concerned with the quality of the documentation and the future development of Ploiești.

Following the consultations with specialists in the field, a joint position paper from the OAR and UAR was drawn up, which reflects the specialists’ position on the preliminary PUG documentation, and which has been formally submitted to Ploiești City Hall, for the attention of the General Directorate for Urban Development.

Furthermore, on Thursday, 23.04.2026, starting at 14.00, at the municipality’s headquarters, the meeting of the Technical Commission for Spatial Planning and Urbanism (Comisia Tehnică de Amenajare a Teritoriului și Urbanism – CTATU) will take place, at which the concrete results of stages 1 and 2 of the General Urban Plan (PUG) will be analysed.
