The Comisia Municipală pentru Transport și Siguranța Circulației (Municipal Commission for Transport and Traffic Safety) approved the request of Asociația Mozaic Comunitar (Community Mosaic Association), regarding the closure of Sublocotenent Erou Călin Cătălin Street (corner with Republicii Boulevard, up to the corner with Emile Zola Street – the area between the Palace of Culture and the Administrative Palace – Entrance B) and the clearing of the parking area, on SUNDAY – 5 APRIL 2026, between 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, for the staging of the HEELS ON BICYCLES (TOCURI PE BICICLETE) event.
This 7th edition, organised this year, consists of a bicycle and scooter ride for approximately 300 people, dressed elegantly, lasting between 30 and 45 minutes, following a route between the Palace of Culture car park and the area of the Caraiman roundabout, with a return to the Palace of Culture, on whose esplanade the contests Most Elegant Female Cyclist, Most Elegant Male Cyclist, Most Beautiful Bicycle, and Most Beautiful Scooter will take place.
