Winners of the “Iulia Hasdeu” National Poetry Contest – 23rd Edition
The “Ion Luca Caragiale” House of Culture of Ploiești Municipality announces the conclusion of the 23rd edition of the “Iulia Hasdeu” National Poetry Contest, a cultural project of long tradition, dedicated to high school students from across the country. The contest aims to discover and encourage young people who carry within them the call of verse and a passion for the written word.
This year’s edition brought together approximately 200 participants from all regions of the country – an eloquent sign that poetry continues to be a common language between generations, between souls and between cities.
Following the judging, the following winners were designated:
· Grand Prize: Hlamagă Iulia-Nicoleta – “Mihai Eminescu” Technological High School Dumbrăveni
· 1st Prize: Șulea Adela – “Petru Rareș” National College Suceava

Each of these young voices brings a fresh echo to Romanian poetry, continuing, through sensitivity and artistic courage, the spirit of Iulia Hasdeu.
We congratulate all participants for their dedication and talent and thank the jury made up of: writer Camelia Iuliana Radu, writer Marian Mărchidanu and director Prof. Marian Dragomir, for their involvement, professionalism and attention given to each text.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this edition! We will see each other again, with even more inspiration, at the next gathering under the sign of poetry!
