The state child allowance is granted to all children up to the age of 18, without discrimination. It is also granted to young persons who have reached the age of 18 and are pursuing high school or vocational education until completion (with the exception of repeating a year, except in medical cases). This entitlement may be claimed by either of the child’s natural parents, as well as by the person who has adopted a child, provided eligibility criteria are met.
