“Constantin Stere” Memorial Park – Administration & Ploiești Zoo (Bucov)

Brief description / mission

A public service of the Municipality of Ploiești that manages the “Constantin Stere” Memorial Park and Ploiești Zoo (Bucov) – spaces for recreation, education and leisure. The Zoo is home to over 50 species, while the park includes green areas, alleys, playgrounds, gazebos and event facilities.

What it does (main functions)

  • Manages and maintains the infrastructure of the Park and the Zoo;
  • Educational programmes and themed activities for children/families;
  • Animal conservation and welfare, in line with sector regulations;
  • Provides leisure services and supports cultural/recreational events.

Founding act / legal basis

  • HCL no. 109/28.06.2002 (Local Council Decision) – establishment of the Public Service Administration of “Constantin Stere” Memorial Park.
