The City Hall of the Municipality of Ploiești announces that on Monday, 10 November this year, the Sfânta Ana Nursery, located in Ploiești, Aleea Strunga no. 2B, opened its doors to young pre-preschoolers.

This new facility, built with the support of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration and of the National Investment Company, was financed through an investment of over 11.8 million lei, obtained under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

The Sfânta Ana Nursery provides modern, well-equipped spaces for the young residents of Ploiești and will offer high-quality educational services to all those who cross the threshold of this new educational facility.

With a capacity of 40 places, divided into 2 groups, the new educational unit includes welcoming playrooms and bedrooms, adapted sanitary facilities, waiting areas for parents, a dining room and technical spaces for staff.

After 34 years, by commissioning this nursery, the municipality is meeting the urgent need of the local community for a modern and safe facility, where Ploiești children up to the age of 3 can be cared for, looked after and educated as any parent would wish!

We point out that the works at this educational facility were completed on time, but it could not be opened earlier due to the complex procedures for obtaining the approvals required for operation.

Although the approvals from ISU (Emergency Situations Inspectorate), ITM (Territorial Labour Inspectorate), DSP (Public Health Directorate), DSV (Veterinary Sanitary Directorate), Apa Nova and that from sanitation services, including those from the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Pre-University Education, were obtained in due time, the blockage was not caused by the Ploiești municipality, but consisted in obtaining, this autumn, the Order of the Minister of Education that confers on this unit the status of pre-preschool educational unit, following the reorganization, in October, of the school network for the 2025-2026 school year.
