Twin Cities
Ploiești is connected through twinning agreements with several cities in Europe and around the world. These partnerships support joint projects in culture, education, local administration
and urban development.










Radom
PolandThe city of Radom is one of the oldest Polish settlements, where the first church was built in 1187. The city of “New Radom” was founded by Casimir the Great of Poland in 1364. Radom is the cultural centre of the entire region.
The main events take place in the theatre, in the 3 museums (the Jacek Malczewski Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Village Museum), in the city’s Public Library, in several urban and regional cultural centres and in the 2 cinemas. The annual Radom City Days are the jewel in the crown of the city’s cultural life, an event in which all the city’s residents take part. It takes place at the beginning of June and includes participants from other cities and regions; this event features concerts, exhibitions, contests and competitions.
