Traffic restrictions – turning on the festive ornamental public lighting for the winter holidays

Comisia Municipală pentru Transport și Siguranța Circulației (the Municipal Commission for Transport and Traffic Safety) has approved a series of road traffic restrictions, on Saturday, 29 November 2025, on the occasion of the turning on of the festive holiday lights and the opening of the Christmas Market, organised in the central area of the municipality, where a stage and an ice rink will be set up. 

The measures put in place for the smooth running of these events are as follows:

·         road traffic will be closed and parking will be cleared on Erou Călin Cătălin Street (corner of Republicii Boulevard up to the corner with Emile Zola Street – the area between Palatul Culturii (the Palace of Culture) and Palatul Administrativ (the Administrative Palace) – entrance B),starting Thursday – 27 November 2025 (at 06:00)  until Sunday 11 January 2026 (at 24:00), for the organisation of the Christmas Market;

·         for the turning on of the lights in the city, road traffic will be closed on Saturday – 29 November 2025, between the hours of 17:30 – 21:00, on Republicii Boulevard, the section between Vasile Milea Street and Gheorghe Lazăr Street, and on C. D. Gherea Street, on the section Republicii Boulevard – Basarabilor Street.

            Poliția Municipiului Ploiești (the Ploiești Municipal Police) will establish the detour routes for this event.
