“Energy efficiency improvement of residential buildings in Ploiești Municipality – Lot 3”

The general objective of the project consists in improving the thermo-energetic performance and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the residential sector of Ploiești Municipality, by carrying out the thermal rehabilitation works of residential buildings 11 B1B2 and 11D, by the date of completion of the financing contract. The project falls within Policy Objective 2 – A greener and more resilient Europe, supporting the transition to clean energy use and the reduction of the carbon footprint. Through the proposed investments, the aim is to increase the energy efficiency of buildings and integrate solutions based on renewable energy sources, thus contributing to combating climate change and to developing a sustainable urban environment, in line with Priority P2 – “A region with environmentally friendly cities” and Specific Objective RSO 2.1 – “Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions”, Operation B – “Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through investments in multifamily housing”.

Specific objectives of the project

• S.O.1 – Increasing the energy performance and reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of residential building 11 B1B2, located in Piața Mihai Viteazul no. 4, Ploiești Municipality, Prahova County, by carrying out thermal rehabilitation works and implementing energy-efficient lighting solutions, by the completion of the project. In order to achieve this specific objective, measures will be implemented such as: thermal insulation of facades (excluding the plinth), replacement of exterior carpentry with energy-efficient carpentry, thermal insulation of the slab above the 2nd floor, thermal insulation of the building’s plinth, as well as works for energy efficiency in lighting consumption. Correlated with the measures provided under S.O.2, this set of interventions will contribute to achieving the general objective of the project and to attaining the assumed results and indicators.
• S.O.2 – Increasing the energy performance and reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of residential building 11 D, located on Strada Constantin Brezeanu no. 1A, Ploiești Municipality, Prahova County, by carrying out thermal rehabilitation works and implementing energy-efficient lighting solutions, by the completion of the project. In order to fulfil this specific objective, similar measures will be applied, namely: thermal insulation of facades (excluding the plinth), replacement of exterior carpentry with thermally insulating carpentry, thermal insulation of the slab above the 2nd floor, thermal insulation of the plinth, as well as the implementation of energy efficiency works for lighting consumption. The cumulative implementation of the measures pertaining to S.O.1 and S.O.2 will lead to the fulfilment of the general objective of the project and to the achievement of the established results and indicators.       

For both components, calculating the average, the following results are forecast:

• A reduction in CO2 equivalent emissions (kgCO2/m2/year) of 65.34% compared to the initial emissions.

• Reduction in primary energy consumption of 61.88% compared to the initial consumption.
