Description of the project “Energy efficiency improvement of residential buildings in Ploiești Municipality – Lot 4”

The general objective of the project:
The general objective of the project consists in improving the thermo-energetic performance and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the residential sector of Ploiești Municipality, through the thermal rehabilitation of four residential buildings: 23B, 26F, 28E and 34A1, by the completion of the financing contract. The project supports the achievement of Policy Objective 2 – “A greener and more resilient Europe”, promoting the transition to clean energy and the reduction of carbon emissions. The planned investments will optimize energy consumption and integrate renewable solutions, thus contributing to combating climate change and to creating a more sustainable urban environment, in line with Priority P2 – “A region with environmentally friendly cities” and with Specific Objective RSO 2.1 – “Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions”, Operation B – “Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through investments in multifamily housing”.
Specific objectives of the project :
S.O.1 – Increasing energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions of residential buildings: 23 B (Romania, Prahova County, Ploiești Municipality, Constantin Brezeanu Street, no. 1B), 26 F (Romania, Prahova County, Ploiești Municipality, Bdul. Republicii, no. 169-173), 34 A1 (Romania, Prahova County, Ploiești Municipality, Gh. Doja Street, no. 35), 28 E (Romania, Prahova County, Ploiești Municipality, Colinii Street, no. 2), through thermal rehabilitation and the implementation of energy-efficient lighting, by the completion of the project. To meet S.O.1, a series of measures will be taken, of which we mention the implementation of: -Facade thermal insulation system, excluding the plinth; -Thermally resistant carpentry for facade openings; -Constructive system for terrace thermal insulation; -Constructive system for plinth thermal insulation; -Constructive system
for thermal insulation of the slab above the basement and above the ground floor; -Energy efficiency works for lighting consumption; -Lightning rod; -Insulation of hot water and heating pipes in the basement; -Replacement of valves and heating and DHW pipes; -Thermostatic valves on radiators; -Electrical energy production system from renewable sources..
The implementation of the project will lead to the following results:
- reduction in CO2 equivalent emissions (kgCO2/m2/year) of 68% compared to the initial emissions;
- reduction in primary energy consumption of 65% compared to the initial consumption.
