Inter-institutional cooperation in Ploiești to improve the efficiency of public emergency services!

Deputy Mayor of Ploiești, Mrs Zoia Staicu, attended the joint quarterly meeting on improving the efficiency of pre-hospital and hospital emergency interventions.

The meeting was coordinated by the Prahova County Prefect’s Office (Instituția Prefectului județul Prahova), and was also attended by representatives of the Prahova County “Șerban Cantacuzino” Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (Inspectoratul pentru Situații de Urgență – I.S.U.), the Prahova County Ambulance Service (Serviciul de Ambulanță Județean – S.A.J.) and the Prahova UPU SMURD.

The meeting agenda included matters of major public interest aimed at strengthening and optimising coordination among the institutions involved in managing emergency situations:

  • the report on the activity of SMURD Prahova for December and the fourth quarter of 2025;
  • the schedule of SMURD inspections for 2026;
  • the status of SMURD special vehicles and ambulances, medical equipment and operational reserves;
  • matters relating to logistics, medical equipment, oxygen, sanitary supplies and hazardous-waste management;
  • the activity of TIM (mobile intensive care) and SMURD motorcycle teams, and staff training;
  • updating the Red Intervention Plan;
  • matters concerning patient handover, professional ethics and inter-institutional cooperation.

The municipality is actively engaged in supporting a fast, efficient and well-coordinated emergency response system, for the benefit of the safety and health of Ploiești residents!
