Ploiești, open to international partnerships: meeting with business leaders from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland!
The Mayor of Ploiești, Mr Mihai Polițeanu, today hosted an official meeting with a delegation of business leaders from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, made up of investors, construction engineers and researchers specialising in sustainable materials.

The meeting, held at the City Hall headquarters, was also attended by the Prefect of Prahova County, Mr Daniel Nicodim, the Deputy Mayor of Ploiești, Mrs Zoia Staicu, and the Public Administrator of our city, Mr Cristian Pleșa.
The delegation of business leaders expressed their intention to make an investment in our city for the production of modular houses from sustainable materials.
The investors are also looking into the opportunity of setting up a research and development centre dedicated to low-carbon construction materials, having already opened a dialogue on this matter with the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești (Universitatea “Petrol-Gaze” Ploiești).
The British delegation is also interested in assessing the potential of building data centres in our country. Ploiești is the first option being considered for siting the investment, and to demonstrate the seriousness of their approach, the investors are in the process of setting up a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) company headquartered in our city, through which the project will be managed.
Local officials expressed their support for these initiatives, which are designed to develop the local community, and stated that the dialogue would continue to identify concrete medium- and long-term opportunities for cooperation.
Together we can turn international dialogue into viable investments for the development of our city!
