In the Municipality of Ploiești, the public alarm system for emergencies will be tested on Wednesday, 04.03.2026, between 10:00 and 11:00, as part of the nationwide drill known as “Siren Wednesday”.

The public alarm signals are: air alarm, disaster alarm, air pre-alarm and all-clear. The duration of each alarm signal is two minutes, as follows:

– AIR ALARM consists of 15 sounds of 4 seconds each, with a 4-second pause between them;

– DISASTER ALARM consists of 5 sounds of 16 seconds each, with a 10-second pause between them;

– AIR PRE-ALARM consists of 3 sounds of 32 seconds each, with a 12-second pause between them;

– ALL-CLEAR consists of a continuous sound of the same intensity, lasting 2 minutes.

For information on prevention measures and behaviour during emergencies or disasters, you can access the national emergency preparedness platform “fiipregatit.ro”, as well as the YouTube channel “InformarePreventivaIGSU”.

The activity carried out is preventive in nature and aims to periodically test the public alarm systems. We ask citizens to treat the sound signals as part of the exercise and to continue their activities normally.
