Ten strategic projects for the development of Ploiești, in procurement procedures!

Ploiești City Hall currently has 10 major projects in public procurement procedures, with a total estimated value of 643.5 million lei, excluding VAT.

Through the implementation of these projects, the Ploiești municipality aims to modernise the city’s infrastructure, increase the efficiency of public services and improve the quality of life for citizens.

The most important investments of the Ploiești public administration currently in public procurement procedure are the following:

  • the acquisition of 20 new trams and the modernisation of the tram depot;
  • the rehabilitation of 24 km of district heating network;
  • the redevelopment of the city centre of Ploiești;
  • the acquisition of a 40 MW cogeneration engine unit for S.C. Termo Ploiești S.R.L.;
  • the modernisation of the squares in front of the South and West Railway Stations;
  • the rehabilitation of Mihai Bravu Street;
  • the construction of the Palliative Care Centre;
  • repair works at education units and arrangements at Kindergarten no. 23;
  • energy efficiency works through the thermal envelope of residential blocks.

This is the largest investment package launched simultaneously in the city in the post-1989 period. The projects target transport infrastructure, district heating, the modernisation of urban spaces, education and medical infrastructure.
