The last symphonic event of March brings us a special programme that proposes a dialogue between tradition and modernity, with the timbre and expressiveness of the cello at its centre. Maestro Michael Köhler will be at the conductor’s podium, and the soloist of the evening will be cellist Rodin Moldovan, a musician acclaimed for the depth and sensitivity of his interpretations.

The programme of the extraordinary concert on Thursday, 26 March 2026, offers a journey into a varied and captivating sound universe. “Kol Nidrei for Cello and Wind Orchestra” by Max Bruch opens the evening in a meditative atmosphere, charged with emotion. By contrast, “Concerto for Cello and Wind Orchestra” by Friedrich Gulda brings surprising energy, blending classical, jazz, and modern rhythms in a score full of vitality and originality.

To close, “Dixtuor”, op. 14, by George Enescu offers the audience a refined sound experience, in which the timbral richness and the complexity of the musical discourse highlight the compositional genius of the great Romanian musician. The work will be performed by soloists Petra Hriban, Cristina Rusu, Oleg Balanuta, Adrian Luncanu, Ionut Mardare, Irina Bălănuță, Daniel Radu, Bogdan Vasile, Radu Andrei, Bogdan Petrosanu.
